20 Ohne Titel | 1964 Aquarell und Deckweiß auf Velin | 32 x 44 cm Folge: Ohne Titel Bargheer ist oft auch an seiner typischen, beige-orientierten Palette zu erkennen, die sich aus dem Erlebnis der im Sommer weitge- hend vertrockneten Landschaft am Mittelmeer speist, mit harmonisch abgetönten roten und grünen Farbakzenten. Die Naturformen zeigen sich abstrahiert, auf dem Wege zu autonomen Bildelementen, aus denen Bargheer komplexe Bildmuster schöpft. Man erkennt die Land- schaft, ohne Zweifel, erliegt ihrer Stimmung, aber dennoch hat man eine formalen Gesetzen verpflichtete Komposition vor sich. Series: Untitled Bargheer is often recognizable from his typical beige-oriented color palette, which is fed from the experience of a summer in a mostly dried-out landscape on the Mediterranean, with harmoni- ously shaded red and green color accents. Nature’s form are shown as abstract, on the way to autono- mous picture elements from which Bargheer cre- ates his complex patterns. We recognize the land- scape without a doubt but succumb to its mood. Yet we still have a composition before us that is obligated to formal laws.
