Heinz Mack at Düsseldorfer Kunstpalast

The Düsseldorf Art Palace is celebrating one of the most important artists after 1945 with a large anniversary exhibition to mark Heinz Mack's 90th birthday. After its digital opening, the masterfully curated exhibition is finally accessible to visitors.

The focus of the large exhibition with around 100 works, some of which occupy space, is Heinz Mack's early work from the 1950s to 1970s and his innovative innovations as well as the revolutionary spirit with which Mack opened up new spaces for thinking and working beyond academic standards.

For decades, our gallery has been working closely with the great German ZERO artist Heinz Mack, who had a decisive influence on the art history of the post-war period. Discover our selection of works by the artist in the current exhibition "2021 reloaded". If you have any special requests or questions about Heinz Mack's work, please do not hesitate to contact us.

His works are represented in over 150 high-quality museum and private collections worldwide. In addition, Heinz Mack's works were shown in the major retrospectives on his 80th birthday in the Bundeskunsthalle, Bonn and on his 90th birthday in the Düsseldorf Kunstpalast.

Painting has always fascinated me when it is filled with light. But painting is much more to me: it is that foreground of the infinitely deep and black space in which light and color have become inseparably one. The identity of light and color, which becomes visible in the spectrum, is the subject of my painting - it is your only subject.
