Biography

Feodora Hohenlohe, born in 1952, creates still lifes, floral compositions and figurative scenes of rare intensity with extraordinary sensitivity and painterly precision. At first glance, her works may appear to have echoes of New Objectivity, but they go far beyond its principles. They do not follow any stylistic convention, but develop a completely independent visual language, characterized by an almost glassy stillness and at the same time a deeply emotional expressiveness.

Her pictures are more than realistic renderings - they contain the invisible, the unsaid, the lost. Things seem to possess an aura of their own, as if they were carriers of memories, of moments long past that live on in her paintings. A mysterious light permeates her works, lending them an almost metaphysical presence and turning them into snapshots of an enraptured reality - a world between reality and dream, full of longing, full of quiet poetry. This atmosphere is reminiscent of melancholy backdrops, hidden secrets and a love that seems as deep as it is unattainable.

Her extraordinary artistic skill lends this pictorial world an incomparable intensity. Every surface - glass, flower petals, old furniture - seems to be more than just matter, but becomes a mirror of deeper truths. Yet Hohenlohe's art is not a nostalgic reminiscence of times gone by. Although it is rooted in the knowledge and penetration of tradition, it belongs entirely to the present. Art always exists in the field of tension between the past and the future - and this is precisely where her works are located. They are reflections on that which remains, on that which passes and on that which moves between times. Feodora Hohenlohe's paintings exist in the now - born from the realization of what has been and the vision of tomorrow.

Feodora Hohenlohe's paintings have been shown in many exhibitions and are represented in important collections such as the Würth Collection, the SØR Rusche Collection and the Museum of Communication, among others.
